Can you suggest how to make that permission work? Downloaded and ran “take ownership”. So my problem has become a permission issue, not a backup problem. ![]() In Windows Explorer, my laptop is able to read from that network drive, but not write to it. I enter the same username and password needed for logging into that desktop but access is still not allowed. Even restarted that desktop computer after checking these permission settings, they’re still as described, but I get the same message when trying to run Windows 7 backup. Well I looked at that drive from the desktop computer it’s connected to, the drive is shared, and “everyone” has permission for “full control”. Anyway, did that, it found the networked drive. What I missed was you have to select a Windows7 option. ![]() Thanks, I’d seen that video and it’s good.
